Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is preferred. The National Account Manager’s key performance indicators include: customer survey results, account’s pocket margins (total and %) and service performance. A Bachelor’s degree is required with 5-7 years of successful sales experience, preferably in packaging, working with large, national accounts. General business knowledge, great communication skills and excellent strategic planning abilities are ideal. Strong work ethic and commitment to grow our business profitably as well as lead a team is required. Must be able to master a sales plan and bring it forward. PET and general plastics technical knowledge preferred with good people and business judgment – value based. Understanding of financial modeling, cost accounting and networking is also appreciated. Solid technical aptitude with regards to resins, manufacturing process, barrier materials and other competitive packaging mediums required.

Amcor PET Packaging is seeking a National Account Manager.

The Account Manager supervises one or a few National Accounts -- proactively and systematically building value to the customer account(s). Develop account strategy and obtain a comprehensive understanding of customer needs – both long-term and short-term; identifying key buying factors beyond purchasing. Cultivate key decision makers and influencers beyond purchasing and craft relationship plan to build strategies as well as monitor systematic performance reviews.

In addition, the Manager drives actions to improve the bottom-line. This analytical and organized individual executes negotiations and manages planning; working both individually and as a team member. Other duties include leading a cross-functional team and coordinating information flow and action planning. Create collaborative customer/supplier CI teams and build value.
